In a process similar to creating a serigraph or other layered image, my digital collages begin by making a series of marks, gestures and textures with black ink or paint on white paper. Next I make a digital scan of each individual drawing. This allows me to then import & place them one-by-one onto a page in an electronic illustration program where I compose and create the final image. A limited edition of the image is then printed using archival ink and paper.
