ARTIST STATEMENT

There is something you find interesting, for a reason hard to explain because you have never read it on any page; there you begin. You were made and set here to give voice to this, your own astonishment. – Annie Dillard

Color. Texture. Form. Relationship. Delight. Discovery. Dialogue. These are the life experiences that interest me and inform my art. How one shape influences another, the dialogue between them, the interaction of one color with another, and how the layered parts make up the whole and collectively become more than each was individually, is the foundation for the images I make -- and for the life I live.

Paint. Ink. Paper. Canvas. Bits and pieces. These are the tools of my expression.
